Since 1999, the Dutch-Danish couple, Hélène & Tim Christensen, welcomes you in a personal and warm ambiance. The atmosphere is cosy which makes you feel at home. Hospitality and culinary pleasure is highly regarded so you will await a pleasant surprise!

The area and the villages along the river Ourthe offer something for everyone. Quiet walking tours, mysterious caves, adventurous kayak and canoeing trips and two 18-holes golf courses nearby are just a few of the activities. Guest of La Grande Cure will enjoy a reduction on the price of the greenfee at a.o. Golf de Durbuy (Barvaux) and Five Nations Golfclub (Méan), when the reservation at the golfcourse is made by La Grande Cure.

Hotel
Despite the popularity of this area, you will still be able to find a quiet place to stay. Just outside the village of Marcourt you will find Auberge La Grande Cure. A big, lovely, park-like garden surrounds this rustic hotel. You will find the hotel an oasis of peace and that is why La Grande Cure is a perfect base to discover the Ardennes.
A sparkling aperitif will be served in the bar or on the terrace and during the winter days you will be able to enjoy our hospitality at the log fire in the lounge. The 10 rooms are comfortable and furnished with telephone and all comfort facilities.

Restaurant
The Ardanish kitchen is refreshing and very much inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine. Tim Christensen, with chef Frederic at his side, is responsible for the kitchen. Autodidact and perfectionist as he is, he will try time and time again to serve new creations with 'basic products'.

After a day in the countryside, you will be pampered by the surprising 4-course 'Menu Plaisir' or the exciting 7-course 'Menu La Cure'. With the constantly changing menus, you will experience a real culinary treat. If you should have any wishes concerning the menu's (i.e. no meat/fish, vegetarian or because of health precautions), please notify us in advance.
A vast, varied and eclectic wine card accompanies the gastronomic cuisine. The list contains some very special and old vintages. In addition, you will discover the world of 'new' wines. We will be pleased to advise you in your choice of wines according to the menu

Durbuy Golf Course
The course was designed by Hawtree & Sons and Capart (1991). The result is a thrilling ride on a rollercoaster of golf that will have you lost for words and gasping in wonder! It seems almost impossible to have a golf course here, and yet the course offers a tough and magical challenge for anyone who wants golf that thrills and delights and yet is a brilliant challenge for all levels of golfers. Though above the 30 handicap could have a nightmarish time on this course!

The Five Nations Golf Course was designed in the early 90's by the legendary Gary Player. He created a challenging, surprising and most important of all a very beautiful par 72 golf course in the hilly Belgium landscape.
