A beautiful Grade II Listed period stone property situated in the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' - Bourton-on-the-Water. The cottage is located in the heart of the village, only 100 yards from the main street and River Windrush. Beautifully furnished, with period features including a wealth of beams, stone mullion leaded windows and exposed stone and timbers.

This beautiful cottage boasts a wealth of character and benefits from generously proportioned rooms. The large kitchen / breakfast room has a range of oak fitted units and an extensive range of appliances - including washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and hob. There is also an oak table with seating for four.   The conservatory features a large oak refectory dining table with seating for six and is surrounded by exposed stone and timber and overlooks the South-facing garden.

The lounge has a delightful stone fireplace with timber lintel, a Cotswold stone canopy and leather sofas surrounded by oak furniture. There is also a TV and DVD, along with a music system.   The first floor consists of one double bedroom and one twin. The double bedroom has a dual aspect, and contains a range of traditional oak furniture along with a TV. The twin bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a vanity unit with basin. The second floor contains another twin bedroom, which features a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and stone mullion windows. There is also a family bathroom which compromises modern sanitary ware set around beams and stone.

Outside there is a small South facing garden which contains Cotswold stone walls and mature flower beds. There is also a detached garage, and off street parking for one car.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES
Bourton-on-the-Water was recently voted one of the prettiest in England on the strength of the beautiful old world Cotswold houses and the village green, traversed by six picturesque bridges which spans he River Windrush.  The architecture in Bourton-on-the-Water is unique to the area, and one can see an abundance of stone mullion windows, stone tiles roves, gables and honey coloured limestone walls. The village itself is steeped in history with its origins traced back to pre-Roman times. There is also a wide and varied choice of visitor attractions:

In Bourton-on-the-Water: Birdland Park and Gardens, The Model Village, Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection, Cotswold Perfumery, The Dragonfly Maze, Fundays Play Barn, Bourton Model Railway, Cotswold Pottery and Cotswold Farm Park.
In the locality: The villages of Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, The Slaughters, Stratford-upon-Avon and Burford. Other Cotswold attractions include Hidcote Manor Gardens, Painswick Gardens, Blenheim Palace , Kiftsgate Court Garden and Sudeley Castle.

Rye Hill Golf Club
Rye Hill offers a championship course, full length practice ground, golf academy, par 3 academy course, First Golf course and a magnificent golf shop.  Championship Course: Rye Hill Golf Club is a traditional parkland course, with heath land features and panoramic views. As a EuroPro Tour venue, it is testimony to the high calibre of this championship 6,900 yd par 72 course. Benefiting from free drainage, the course is playable in the wettest of weather and trolleys can be used all year. For those of you who haven't got the time or energy to play our fantastic 6,900 yd par 72 course, we have recently introduced a shorter 5,900 yard 18 hole course played from our Blue T's. An added benefit of the Blue course is that it also costs less to play than the full course.

Burford Golf Club
The course is fairly flat and although not long at a maximum of 6,401 yards, it does offer a comfortable round for golfers of all ages and handicaps.  Burford welcomes visitors and will try to accommodate any individual or small groups wishing to play
