Woodleigh Coach House is a Grade II listed building originally constructed by a London Brewer in the late 19th century. Situated in Cheriton Bishop, on the old stagecoach road from London to Exeter and Penzance, and in close proximity to Dartmoor, it was a perfect location to store and distribute beer around Devon and Cornwall.

Now the main A30 dual carriageway provides excellent links to the West Country and Woodleigh Coach House, being only minutes from the main route has easy access to or from Exeter City Centre, Okehampton and Dartmoor National Park.

The Coach House provides luxury newly refurbished accommodation, all rooms having en-suite facilities. The Cafe, situated in the East Wing serves Breakfasts, Lunches and Afternoon Teas. The Cafe terrace overlooks open countryside, to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal; break from your journey or relax in between other leisure activities. Plenty of free parking and we are dog friendly!

The accommodation is located on the first floor, second floor and West Wing of the building, some rooms with outstanding views of the surrounding countryside.

All rooms have been extensively refocused and refurbished with full en-suite facilities, colour TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.

The Cafe is open to the public as well as to the guests seven days a week from 8am till 5pm.

The Café is situated in the east wing of the Coach House, with a large terrace enjoying breathtaking views across the Devon countryside. You may like to call in for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea whilst visiting nearby attractions or taking a break from your journey to or from the West Country. We serve a selection of teas and freshly brewed coffee including cappuccino or latte and of course scones with fresh clotted cream!

Our menu offers a range of quality freshly prepared foods using prime ingredients. We try wherever possible to source our food from the West Country and local suppliers.

Examples from our menu include the popular Full English Breakfasts, Breakfast Baps, freshly cooked Omelets and Jacket Potatoes along with a selection of cakes, snacks, sweets and Specials.

Woodleigh Coach House & Cafe is situated in the village of Cheriton Bishop, at the Woodleigh Junction exit on the A30 dual carriageway which runs from the M5 at Exeter through to Cornwall via Truro to Penzance.

The Cathedral city of Exeter, with its historic Quay and excellent variety of shops and restaurants is only 10 minutes away by road and the historic town of Okehampton 13 miles.

This unique position gives easy access to explore the many various visitor attractions of Devonshire's Heartland and this area of outstanding natural beauty, whether by car, horse or foot. It is a perfect stop off point for those wishing to tour the area, or travel to/from Cornwall.

Cheriton Bishop is a tranquil village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park which won the title Best Kept Village 2004.
