Welcome to The Wheatsheaf Inn, Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The Wheatsheaf Inn was originally a public house but now operates as a fully licensed Guest House and Restaurant offering more than its fair share of warmth and character. The lounge and restaurant are open to non-residents who are welcome to simply drop in for a quiet drink and a chat or spend a pleasant evening dining. Our restaurant will open outside of our advertised hours for advance dinner party bookings of 8 or 10. These bookings must be secured by a deposit at time of booking.

Tony and Stella, along with their two young sons, look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the traditional ambience offered at The Wheatsheaf all year round. We offer a high standard of freshly cooked good quality food and aim to offer friendly personal service to boot. Our 2008 Quality in Tourism report states: "Guests can expect a warm welcome, with personal service and hospitality offered throughout the stay from the resident proprietors. Service is efficient and attentive, guest satisfaction an obvious priority here at The Wheatsheaf Inn."

The Wheatsheaf Inn Guest House and Restaurant, offers three luxurious and well planned bedrooms with generous en-suite facilities. Two twins and one double room with a king size bed. Many of our guests remark on the spaciousness and quality of the rooms.

Our rooms have all been recently refurbished and are decorated to maximise light and comfort with good provision of power points. Our beds are nothing less than comfortable - we know as we have tried them all and our guests say the same.

Our rates include breakfast which consists of a Continental Breakfast Buffet followed by a full English Breakfast freshly cooked to order. All followed by as much toast, tea and coffee as you wish. Flexible breakfast times are usually available - please let us know your preferred breakfast time. If you would prefer something like smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast then please let us know when booking

Freshly cooked evening meals are always available to guests in our fully licensed restaurant and a (pre-booked) packed lunch is also possible.

We are conveniently situated for the local shops as the High Street is just around the corner. We are approximately one mile from Heacham beaches where you can enjoy our fabulous sunsets across The Wash. We are also convenient for getting to the RSPB Bird Reserves at Titchwell, Snettisham and Holme as well as great Norfolk attractions such as The Royal Sandringham Estate and Norfolk Lavender is only a five minute walk away. The seaside town of Hunstanton is 2 miles away with its beautiful beaches and rugged cliffs, whilst Kings Lynn with its extensive shops (and lots of history) is 14 miles away.

Golf: 

Heacham Manor Golf Club
The golf course development is well underway and has a planned opening of May 2009, please see course plans included as well as a score card with estimated yardages and par for the course.  Designed in a links style the course will challenge all golfers, a long course at over 7,000 yards means it will be one of the longest in Norfolk, however with a number of teeing areas on each hole the course will be playable for all handicaps.

Hunstanton Golf Club
Lying on the northwestern coast of Norfolk, Hunstanton Golf Club, though not quite as tough as some of the Open Championship courses, is still a real challenge for all links enthusiasts.  The links is of the highest calibre, offers countless superb holes and boasts greens that are amongst the finest and slickest in England.

Searles Golf Club
Welcoming, 9 Hole par 34 Course open to all on a pay and play basis. Designed in a links style with good large greens and the Heacham River winding through the 3rd and 4th hole. The par 5 eighth follows an ancient reed bed to finish with par three ninth in front of the club house, the course provides challenges for novices and the more experienced alike. A ten bay driving range is available to learn improve, or warm up prior to playing.

King’s Lynn Golf Club
Situated just a few miles to the North of the historic market town of King's Lynn at Castle Rising is one of East Anglia's premier golf clubs.  Carved out of the picturesque North West Norfolk pine and silver birch forests just down the road from the Royal Sandringham Estate this sandy well-drained course compares favourably with some of the finest inland courses in the UK.

Royal West Norfolk Golf Club
Royal West Norfolk is a delightful classic links course with over a 100 years of history behind it. It is also rumoured that the Royal family have enjoyed a few rounds on the course through the years, so consider it nothing short of a privilege to play.  The course requires great accuracy at all times and is certainly not for the faint hearted. It boasts huge, deep sleeper faced bunkers and also requires a number of long, straight drives which must avoid trouble left and right. You also have to avoid a flooded creek on certain holes
