A charming period stone property situated in the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' - Bourton-on-the-Water. The cottage is located on the banks of the River Windrush, in the heart of the village. This delightful cottage boasts a wealth of character and benefits from generously proportioned rooms all beautifully furnished. Period features within the property include stone mullion leaded windows, fireplaces and original stone flagstones in the hall.

The ground floor contains a kitchen/dining room, two reception rooms and a shower/cloakroom. The first floor incorporates 3 bedrooms: 2 double and one twin, along with the family bathroom.
The large kitchen / dining room has a range of fitted units and an extensive range of appliances - including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and hob. The room features a large oak refectory dining table with seating for eight, mullion windows and a feature fireplace with electric fire.

The sitting room overlooks the River Windrush and features a period stone open fireplace along with designer sofas surrounded by oak furniture. There is also a TV with video and DVD.  The second reception room also benefits from views of the River, and contains a period stone fireplace with electric fire, a sofa bed, a music system and antique furniture.

Upstairs on the first floor, the two double bedrooms benefit from views of the River. Each room has a feature fireplace, a traditional four poster bed, and they contain a range of traditional oak furniture along with a television.  The twin bedroom features a Victorian fireplace and stone mullion windows along with fitted wardrobes and a Television. The family bathroom compromises of a modern sanitaryware set with a shower.

Outside there is a courtyard garden surrounded by Cotswold stone walls . There is also a wash room with Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer, a detached garage, and off street parking for one/two cars.
Pets are welcome for an additional £15 each per week.

Bourton-on-the-Water was recently voted one of the prettiest in England on the strength of the beautiful old world Cotswold houses and the village green, traversed by six picturesque bridges which spans he River Windrush.  The architecture in Bourton-on-the-Water is unique to the area, and one can see an abundance of stone mullion windows, stone tiles roves, gables and honey coloured limestone walls. The village itself is steeped in history with its origins traced back to pre-Roman times. There is also a wide and varied choice of visitor attractions:
In Bourton-on-the-Water: Birdland Park and Gardens, The Model Village, Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection, Cotswold Perfumery, The Dragonfly Maze, Fundays Play Barn, Bourton Model Railway, Cotswold Pottery and Cotswold Farm Park.
In the locality: The villages of Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, The Slaughters, Stratford-upon-Avon and Burford. Other Cotswold attractions include Hidcote Manor Gardens, Painswick Gardens, Blenheim Palace , Kiftsgate Court Garden and Sudeley Castle.

Broadway Golf Club
The club was established in 1895 and the present golf course started in 1910. Although not championship length at only 6200 yards and par 72, it does provide a good test of golf for all abilities, and has an inland links feel due to the rolling fairways and undulating greens.  The small contour greens demand a well-placed and accurate shot, and even if you reach them in regulation figures, a par is by no means a certainty.

Brailes Golf Club
The golf course is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an 18 hole par 71 golf course, offering something for every level of golfer and the clubhouse has a warm and relaxed atmosphere and serves a wide range of refreshments.
