This hotel is named after its most illustrious owner Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere, who later became Pope Giulio II, patron of artists of the calibre of Michelangelo and Raffaello.

The building is the result of the careful restoration of an 11th century Benedictine Abbey and of the renaissance Villa commissioned by Giuliano della Rovere in 1470. 

The hotel has 30 rooms, all with air-conditioning, hydro-massage bath or shower, satellite channels, pay-TV, phone, mini-bar and a safe.

It is surrounded by a large park which boasts of a travertine swimming pool from which enchanting panorama of Colle Val d’Elsa may be enjoyed.

The hotel offers ample congress areas in the noble salons of the Villa, as well an area specially set aside for more numerous events. The restaurant-cum-wine cellar “Il Cardinale” is located in the Villa’s cellars and combines a traditional Tuscan cuisine with an ample selection of Italian wines.

The strategic position of Relais della Rover makes it an ideal place from which to visit Tuscany’s more interesting tourist and cultural destinations.

30 rooms, all different, all silent and elegant; refined furnishings and colours with the utmost respect for the original environment, yet provided with the most modern comforts:  All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, in-room safe, mini-bar, direct dial telephone, air conditioning, hydromassage baths and Internet connection.
Swimming pool: We have a nice private swimming pool.
Restaurant
In the cellars of the villa the Restaurant-Wine Bar “Il Cardinale” offers traditional Tuscan cooking accompanied by a wide selection of Italian wines.  The restaurant aims to become known as a pleasant place in which to enjoy an exclusively, elegant atmosphere, with all the flavours of traditional Tuscan cuisine, retouched and adapted to suit today's rules on tasting dishes accompanied by the most characteristic Italian and Tuscan wines. We strongly believe in both the quality and the preparation of the food and the selection of the wines and, last but not least, their presentation with a fitting service. 

During summer evenings dinner is served in the outside patio, in a romantic candle-lit atmosphere.

Conference room and Banquets: The Hotel also has rooms that can be used for meetings and conferences. The setting of the Hotel is also just right for any type of artistic events.
Parking: We have parking area on the property.
Mountain bike: It is possible to rent mountain bikes from the Hotel.

Abbadia Golf has a course comprising a 220 m driving range (with space for 20 players, of which 6 positions are sheltered), a putting-green, a pitching-green and a 6-hole course for practising and playing real Golf.

Castelfalfi Golf Club - 18 holes, m 5.869, par 73
Castelfalfi Golf Club is situated in an ancient medieval hamlet deep in the Tuscan country. The land belonged through the centuries to the main Italian families, included the Medicis. One of the main characteristics of the course is how you can often play down hill. Beware the many water obstacles and the occasional bunker.

Golf dell ‘Ugolino
A natural course, difficult, for differences in levels, the handicaps, the small and well defended greens.  Considered one of the most suggestive natural golf course of the worls, it has been named among the 50 most beautiful golf course of the world by the American writer Chris Santella.
