On the federal road E45, after UMBERTIDE, coming from south , or, coming from north through the Appennins, after the lake of MONTEDOGLIO, appears the beautiful upper valley of the river Tevere, a large plateau surrounded by green hills, woods and medieval villages, like ANGHIARI, CITERNA, MONTERCHI, MONTE SANTA MARIA TIBERINA, MONTONE, SAN GIUSTINO, CAPRESE MICHELANGELO. In the middle of the valley are two towns; SAN SEPOLCRO, CITTà di CASTELLO. The river Tevere flows along the valley past ancient farmhouses and fields with sunflowers and tobacco plants, churches, castles, monasteries and archaeological excava-tions ....

Bed & Breakfast IL CARDO, opened all the year, is on a green hill in a small village.
Medieval house, possibly part of an ancient monastery, recently refur-bished with antique local furniture, offers you a cordial and discreet hospitality . You can enjoy sitting by the fireside, BBQ under the arbor with a view of the valley, behind the house up to the hill into the Appennins, visiting the archeological excavation of Colle Plinio, the culture and events.

In the area are several choices of leisure-time activities: restaurants, bicycle, canoe, swimming, trekking, riding, golf;, guided excursions

The rooms are named by oak, broom and juniper. You can combine the rooms - maximal capacity 8-10 beds - as your need. Separate Bathrooms, heating , TV and HiFi.

Today, the golf course at "Fattoria Caldese" is regularly played on both by members of the club and by tourists and players from other clubs who admire and enjoy its features. The course has allowed many enthusiasts to take up this sport and/or improve their standard of play, to the extent that some members of the club have gained and continue to gain excellent results, even in competitions at national level.

ANTOGNOLLA GOLF
There are two courses: Antognolla Executive and Antognolla Championship. The par 71 18-hole championship course is 6633 yards (6065m) long, and is unique in its employing the concept of bio-diversity, with a combination of different types of plants which all belong to the same species providing for a memorable golfing experience.
The par 27 9-hole Executive course is 1225 yards (1120m) long, and although the distances are relatively limited, this golf course is interesting and unquestionably scenic, with a splendid view of the Castle from each hole.
