La Pineda is a self-contained two storey house nestling amongst the pines on a hillside above Sa Riera beach, which can be accessed by car in a couple of minutes, or by foot via 330 steps for the fit and energetic.

The house is 20 years old, and was completely transformed last year with much thought being given to comfort and style. There are wide terraces, beautiful planting and views to the sea. The setting is extremely peaceful, yet not remote

The historic hillside town of Begur is nearby and the area offers a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, with excellent restaurants and wines. The coast offers a terrific variety of peaceful sandy coves and sweeping bays. It has one of the highest concentrations of 'Blue Flag' sites in Europe.

A bonus is that the owner, who lives in the house below (accessed by a lower road) is an excellent chef and meals, shopping and child-care can be arranged, if desired.

All bedrooms have access to the outside terrace via french windows, there is ample storage space.  Linen and towels provided). All bedrooms are sited on the lower floor, the living accommodation, dining and kitchen being on the main entrance floor

Bathrooms:  2 bathrooms :  One bathroom is 'en suite' to one of the double bedrooms. They are both tiled and well equipped, towels are provided.

Location:  An area of the coast that has great natural beauty with a fine tapestries of walled towns and ancient hilltop villages many containing examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The beautiful city of Girona is an undiscovered gem only 40 minutes drive from Begur.  The whole area is steeped in culture, Salvador Dali is a famous son and his homes at Portlligat and Cadaques are well worth visiting, as is the Dali Museum at Figueres.  The little community of Mas Mato is really off the beaten track, apart from Sa Riera beach below the house, beaches such as Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Sa Tuna are all within about 10 minutes drive away.

Club de Golf de Pals 3 kms
Golf Platja de Pals is set in an extraordinary landscape, sited on ancient coastal dunes secured by pine trees at the start of the 20th century. An extensive pine grove with ancient trees is the result of the pioneering forestry action that has today become the oldest golf course Costa Brava, inaugurated in 1966.

Golf Club Serres de Pals  5kms
The course, designed by Ramón Espinosa, has three different areas with smooth hills, pine woods and lanes among lakes. Surrounded by marvelous landscapes from the Baix Empordà, this 18 holes course, par 72 and 6.263 metres of length, joints the best conditions to play golf and to enjoy the mild Mediterranean weather.

Golf Course Golf d'Aro-Mas Nou is situated in "Les Gavarres" mountains. 300 m. above sea level with spectacular panoramic views of the famous Costa Brava. Golf Club Costa Brava - 25 kms
The 18 holes Golf Course, founded in 1968, was designed by Hamilton Stutt & CO. It combines a very technical first 9 holes, surrounded by pines and cork oaks, with the long second 9 holes, flat terrain with wide long fairways.

PGA Golf Catalunya - 25 kms
